| The 3Com Switch 4200G family delivers wirespeed "Gigabit to the desktop" switching for high performance workgroups requiring Gigabit port configurations. Layer 2 switching together with Layer 3 static routing make these ideal for affordable Gigabit edge installations. Cluster together up to 16 devices - including Switch 5500 or Switch 5500G models - for ease of management. Four of the ports are dual-personality, operating either as 10/100/1000 or SFP-based fiber, for greater flexibility. Available 10-Gigabit connections - either XENPAK or XFP - can be used for high bandwidth switch-to-switch local connections, or for uplinks to a high capacity core network; XENPAK transceivers plug directly into the switch at no added cost, which XFP transceivers has an installable carrier module for total buyer preference of 10-Gigabit media. Enterprise-class security features include 802.1X network login, SSH/SSL encrypted device log-in, and Access Control Lists. These come with lifetime warranty, with next business day advanced hardware replacement available in many markets. |
