In Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man and his key enemies --
Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom and Sandman -- cast aside their
differences to form a dangerous alliance. Spider-Man chooses a hero
sidekick to travel the world and defeat all the major movie
villains. After defeating these iconic enemies, Spider-Man adds
them to his arsenal of playable sidekicks.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a unique take on the most successful
Super Hero franchise of all time. Inspired by the movies Spider-
Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, this Action Adventure game
reinterprets big-screen moments and battles with a humorous twist.
Players team up with famous Marvel heroes to fight the bad guys, and
then convert them to sidekicks after defeating them in epic boss
battles. Experience ground-breaking Co-operative Multiplayer, as
Spider-Man or a sidekick, in exotic spots around the globe,
including Tokyo, Egypt and Nepal.
Choose a sidekick from your allies
Pick from a long list of Spider-Man s allies like Blade, Ironfist and
Prowler, and swap between sidekicks at any time. Spider-Man and any
chosen sidekick can unleash lethal combos against opponents.
Fight against movie villains, then alongside them
Face off against infamous movie villains using an innovative combat
system. Combat Doc Ock in his lab, Sandman in a construction site, and
Green Goblin on the rooftop of Oscorp. Then turn bad guys into good.
Once defeated, they become your sidekicks.
Team up in two-player co-op
Share the fun with a friend or sibling! One of you plays Spider-Man and
the other controls one of Spider-Man's powerful sidekicks. You can play
Co-operatively through every world, area and level. Team up to
accomplish more powerful moves that will blow away the villains.
Enjoy details inspired by the Spider-Man movies
Movie villains are just the beginning. You also get to experience
costumes, battle scenes and spoofed scenes, all inspired by the first
three Spider-Man films.
Come back for more, again and again
Replay each chapter with a different sidekick and eventually with Black-
Suited Spider-Man. Unlock additional characters such as New Goblin and
Silver Sable. Fight in diverse worlds, from an island jungle and a New
York training ground to Transylvania and Nepal.

Teamwork makes this a classic for young children
Wireless DS multi-card play is what makes this game a huge hit in our family. Our (young) children are entertained by the teamwork option, playing as two superheroes or one as Spider-Man and the other as a villian -- the Green Goblin or Sandman or, their favorite, Venom.
No doubt older kids will tire of the repetition, but I don't expect most teenagers will buy a superhero title, choosing instead an RPG or simulation.
For little superheroes, this is a great little adventure and worth purchasing the extra copy so they can play together. |  | Reviewed on 2008-05-13 
GEORGE AND THE DRAGON
This was a delightfull childrens Movie with likable cast such as Piper Perabo as the rebellious Princess looking out for the dragon and George Purefuoy as the reluctant hero. The special effects were cheesy but Patric Swayze made a good villian. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-02
Good game
Not too bad. the caracters have great abilities. kind of short. nice villans. could use more detailing in the backrounds. its cool that you can play as the villans, not just the good guys. it could have been better in a few areas, like more interactivity with stuff in the levels.

Disappointing
Spider-Man has had a pretty good track record when it comes to the DS, which is part of what makes Spider-Man: Friend or Foe so disappointing. The game's premise is quite interesting though: to stop a massive, mystery threat, Spidey must team up with a laundry list of his rogues gallery (Green Goblin and Doc Ock among others) and take down hordes of other baddies. While Friend or Foe starts out fun, the repetitive beat downs quickly degenerate into sheer boredom. The game looks decent enough, and the characters are well animated, and the moments of voice work are a nice touch too, but there's simply not enough here to warrant more than a rental at best, and that may be too generous. There's some fun moments here and there, but in the end, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe ends up being another quickly assembled, rushed out, licensed game that could have been better than it is. | |
