Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-14 Just what I needed! This is an excellent little system and fits my needs to a T! It is attractive, easy to set up, and the cords have extra length so the location of the speaker system is not limited to the location of my window and outlet. The sound is of very good quality and ideally suited to my office space. I'm sure my neighbors appreciate this system's lack of booming bass and extreme volume. If you want your XM really loud, I recommend the boombox or connecting a home docking station to a good home stereo. And I finally have a use for the remote control that came with my Audiovox Express receiver. All in all, a terrific value! | | Reviewed on 2008-07-10 Unbelieveable Sound and volume This is an item I only bought because it was Altec Lansing. Had Lansing speakers in college and used them well into my marriage with my first two kids. This cranks up to 30 on the dial and can be heard thoughout my town house. Bought three others as gifts as they are only $40 a piece. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-08 Be Very Very Quiet, I'm listening to the Radio... After reading all of the reviews on this (and disregarding those who said it was too quiet) I thought I would take a chance and buy it. It is really a nice looking unit, but it is SO light and feels cheap. Turned up full blast you can barely hear it from the next room. I wish I would have went for the bigger "boom box" style. So, if you want a docking station for your XM reciever for a small room, this would be a good buy, but if you need "punch" to deliver volume for noisy areas I would certainly go for a more powerful unit. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-24 A BARGAIN for $40! This thing sounds great! Plenty loud and a big sound for such a small unit. Pretty much "plug and play."
If you already have a XM Radio, you know the benefits. This makes it a lot more portable, so if you need that, this is worth the small investment. I have some similar things, like the SkyFi Boombox by Delphi. This is much better.
If you're a huge audiophile and want massive bass or something, this probably isn't the unit for you. But if you just want portability and something for the office, this can't be beat.
Bought the remote for an additional $8 and it's worth it, by the way. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-19 Southern exposure Nice style and doesnt take up much space. Great sound. Needs southern exposure for antenea, which is a slight annoyance. Overall, very pleased with product. | |
