Build-A-Bear is a Nintendo DS simulation that recreates the in-store experience. Gameplay offers a unique immersive experience, which replicates the process of shopping and creating a Bear when entering a Build-A-Bear Workshop store. The game allows you to approach the Build-A-Bear Workshop concept with the same hands-on and do it yourself formula. This level of interactivity is achieved through the use of the touch screen, wireless technology, enhanced graphics and innovative control mechanism. Choose, create and customize your own personal virtual Bear and participate in various activities with your new furry friend. Learn how to perform moves with the DS trick control, earn honey nuggets by completing challenges and buy up to 150 different clothing accessories. Spend some time in the photo studio and share your photo album and clothes collection wirelessly with your friends. Enjoy an afternoon in the backyard playground using the swing and various ball games Become a professional fashion photographer and set-up photo shoots in the Build-A-Bear photo studio Change your Bear outfits, select the zoom and camera angle, modify the backdrop and direct your character's poses While spending time in the bathroom, help your bear clean his teeth Interact wirelessly with your friends to trade items or challenge each other in the mini games Test your skills in the dancing game by drawing the right shapes at the right time with your stylus on cue in order to hold the rhythm of the music Play dress-up and mix and match up to 150 fashion accessories Control two bears at a time with your stylus and collect honey while dodging bees Make sure you don't pick the last seat paying musical chair

Reviewed on 2008-07-16 Favorite for 5 & 4 year old Both kids love this game. It is a good mix of easy parts and hard parts for their level. It has become their favorite game.

Reviewed on 2008-06-22 Build-A-Bear for Nintendo DS This game is great!!!! My 6 year old daughter loves to play. She has no difficutly with it whatsoever. I have not been asked to assist her once, unlike the other games she currently has. I would recommend this game to parents who would like their children to have "independence" while playing with their Nintendo DS.

Reviewed on 2008-05-11 great game for younger kids, but reading is involved This game is kind of like Webkinz in a sense. The kids can pick which animal they want to build and can choose various rooms to go in for games or cooking, bathing, getting dressed, dancing, etc. However, there is a lot of reading that explains what the child needs to do. It'd be better if it just talked the instructions instead. As long as your child can read really well or an adult is with them to read teh instructions to them it's a good game. I'm sure once they've played it many times, they figure out what to do and don't need the directions.

The 4 & 7 year old love it and each want to do it at the same time. very nice NO VIOLENCE at all if your kids are younger Id say 11 and under excellent choice. Very very cute the animals come to life and you can play with them. Wonderful!!!!!!!!!

Reviewed on 2008-04-12 Great game for 5 year old! It is really hard to find games for the younger kids using the DS system, but this one works great for my five year old daughter.
