Awesome Graphics!
It is truely a great game! I'm 12 and my 9 year old brother and I love it! The courses get harder and harder, but start out fairly easy. The graphics are realistic and amazing! You can choose your horse's color, saddle, and stuff like that. You can groom it, and unlock things by winning competitions! You can be a boy or girl, which ever you choose, and can have multiple profiles (about 8). You can choose what you wear too! Turning is a tad difficult, but you should get the hang of it. So fun, totally worth it for the horse crazy!
This game is awesome! The graphics are incredibly lifelike, the gameplay is understandable, and the options for customization are endless. The controls are a little tough to get used to at first, as many video games are. This game is challenging enough to keep an adult's attention while still having plenty of appeal for younger players. The jumping courses are modeled after the real thing and it shows-so impressive! I definitely reccomend this game to anyone with an interest in horses! | | Reviewed on 2008-05-27 
For serious horse fanatics only.
I bought this game for my little sister for her birthday. She seems to enjoy it a decent amount despite its flaws. The graphics are not exactly high-def if you catch my drift. The character/horse animations seem, unnatural to me. I don't know, it just doesn't look right. The turning is highly unresponsive, and the horse even sometimes turns in the opposite direction of where you're telling it to go. It can be difficult to get your horse to got he right speed. I could see my sister get frustrated, and she constantly shouted things like "No! What are you doing!". On top of this you have an anonymous narrator who sounds like GPS system that keeps telling the player hos much they're failing, but in a nice way, just like when your GPS says "Recalculating route", but you know that if it were a person they'd be calling you an idiot under their breath. Despite all of this she still had fun with it because she loves horses so much. So if you really love horses, and are desperately looking for a game that features them as its main attraction, this game might be right up your alley. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-05
It is fun and not just for kids!
I am an adult who grew up with horses. This game brings back memories for me. It is as true to riding as you can get on a video game. You hold the controller and nun chuck as reins and use the A button to speed up (since you can't use your legs!) I find some of the practice levels challenging because it doesn't always respond the way I think it should, but neither did my horse. :) It is a guilty pleasure and I am glad I got it. Great game, but a little tricky.
This is a great game to play. Though there is one thing my duaghter (whom I bought the game for) is unsure of. On the images, they show a room and my daughter can't find it. If that image wasn't on Amazon or my daughter found it, the game would get an overall score five stars. Since there isn't, I can't give it a perfect score. | |
