Reviewed on 2008-05-04 Not good with printers! I bought this setup for a direct view link with my ugly printers. It worked great for two weeks and now the signal from Windows is corrupting as it goes through the wireless process to the hub. I get an error message with each print attempt. Sending it to Belkin to see what's wrong. Now my ugly printer is out in full view!

Reviewed on 2008-05-02 OK This product is a little finicky to set up but once working it does OK with a range of up to 8 ft. If it loses signal, simply unplug and replug the remote device to reacquire. I have used it for scanners, printers including all in one's, and all kinds of USB flash and hard drives. For some reason it won't work with the dongle which may be faulty?? It sure eliminated a lot of wires!

Reviewed on 2008-03-24 Terrible performance: slow and drops connections The hub is slow, nowhere near the speeds advertised. Even with the computer within 2-3 feet of the hub, it sometimes drops connections to devices. It can be made to work... if it is positioned perfectly in line of sight. I upped my rating to two stars (but the page won't let me) since it is possible to get it to work if positioned ideally. Bottom line: this product is slow, unreliable and I would not recommend it except for very light usage within line of sight.

Reviewed on 2007-12-28 Poor Reception, but it does work... OK So it is easy to setup and use, but if you have a few other wireless devices or an electronically noisy environment then don't expect great range on this product. The USB connection drops if over 8feet apart and sometimes if you walk in between the transmitter and receiver the signal also drops. Thankfully for me I'm using it to connect to something that I dont use all the time so I'm happy with it but if you are going to want to always use the USB devices you have connected then I would suggest looking for a different product.

Reviewed on 2007-12-14 Works well I just installed this and it works well. Setup was easy and the product does what it's intended to. I had an HP all-in-one connected via USB. The other reviewer was right about it working only when it has a direct line of sight. It does come with a vertical stand to connect the wireless transmitter into. This allows you to not have to connect the wireless transmitter directly to your laptop but rather have it sit on this vertical stand and then the vertical stand connects to your laptop. This will at least allow you to move the stand & wireless transmitter around a bit to get the direct line of sight. Funny thing is after everything was working good, I put the wireless hub behind the printer (no longer direct line of sight) and it still works. It didn't detect it when I did this during the setup though. The signal dropped from 4 bars to 3 bars but still prints fine. I suspect that the signal must bounce off the wall since the printer and wireless hub were next to a corner of the walls. This thing is expensive though. Amazon of course ships the slowest way possible if you use their free shipping.
