Reviewed on 2008-06-29 Nice little kicker I used a BOSS audio kit to install this sub into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. It works perfectly. It will not blow your socks off, but it does give you some great low-end. It especially sounds nice when filtering all of the lows to the sub and then filtering all of the highs and mids to the speakers. I would definitely recommend it.

Reviewed on 2008-06-15 Boss Audio BASS600 I installed this in my 2004 Toyota Prius with the JBL Audio system. With some bending of brackets, enough clearance can be had to mount this sub under the passenger seat on top of the factory JBL amplifier. The sub works pretty well in supplementing the factory stereo. I found that the subwoofer sounded a little bit boomy at all but the lowest crossover setting and that I was wishing for a bit more volume from the subwoofer so that the remote subwoofer level adjuster could have a bit more range to play with. I little bump up with the bass boost seemed to help a little with the volume. Its adequate for an 8" subwoofer, but don't expect it to do the job of a 10" or larger sub.

Reviewed on 2008-06-10 Great Bass for Tight Space I did lots of research and am glad I chose the Boss Audio Bass 600 compact subwoofer. I was having a new head unit with iPod cable and sat radio installed in my BMW 530i 4 dr sedan at Cir$%*t City. The subwoofers I was shown took up most of the trunk! I bought this at a great price and they did the install with the rest of the system. WOW! Adds super bass which is tight not muddy. Has a volume-gain control. Fits right under the driver's seat which adds to the "bass you can feel" experience and keeps the trunk space free. Recommend highly!!!

Reviewed on 2008-05-19 Good alternative to a full blown sub system I installed this in a 96 Honda Civic just to add a bit of low end punch. I was very impressed with the amount of bass from this unit considering its size. I used a JVC high power head unit and and 4 Sony coaxials to for the main system. My objective here was to keep the system cheap to reduce theft potential. Installation went very smoothly and the remote gain control is one of the best convience features of this model. I think this is well worth the $125 that I paid for it.

Reviewed on 2008-05-17 Decent bass in a stealth package The Boss Audio BASS600 is a good solution for my pickup. It was a tight fit, but it fits under the seat and is hidden from view. I used to have a 10-inch sub-box behind my seat, but after my truck was broken into and my sub stolen, I wanted to try this stealth subwoofer. It isn't as loud as a sub-box setup that you can hear 50-feet away from the vehicle. I don't need or want that kind of bass. I just need it to play loud inside my vehicle, and with its internal amp, the Boss compact sub suits my needs. It plays as loud as I need it to. Loud enough that you can't talk to a passenger when it's turned up, even if you yell. ;-) At first, I tried a JVC CS-BB2 compact subwoofer, but that had some dropoff at the lowest frequencies. You would expect to hear a low note in a song, but it just wasn't there. The BOSS subwoofer does produce all the low notes, but it's a little peaky. It doesn't have a flat response. That is, you might expect to hear a song with one real low note like, "low low LOOOOW." But that one real low note, you'll hear it, but it won't have the punch that you're expecting. All in all, if you want bass that's hidden from view, this is a winner.
