Reviewed on 2007-09-26 Reliable and does provide about 6000 pages. My HL-1440 laser printer has been blinking telling me the toner cartridge is low. I kept thinking "this is suppose to yield 6000 pages and I haven't printed that many pages". I don't print a lot (home use) and kept thinking I only changed the cartridge no more than 2 years ago. Well, thanks to Amazon. They kept track of everything you buy from them. I actually went back and found out I bought the cartridge in Apr. 2004 (though I didn't install it right away). Also found out its now $7 more than the last time I bought it which isn't bad since its been 3+ years. I checked Brother's support FAQ's and found out how to pull up my page counter and saw 8847 pages. Its reaching 9000 pages which is why the TN460 is blinking low toner. (3000 pages for the initial TN430 and 6000 for this cartridge). Reliable printer (no problems whatsoever) and toner cartridge that does last as long at they say. |

Reviewed on 2007-01-04 WARNING WARNING. Amazon has this listed as a cartridge for the HL2070N Printer. IT IS NOT!!!
It is right there on the HL-2070N page. I have been trying to get a refund from Amazon and they were supposed to send me a return shipping label in the mail but 1 week later no label. |

Reviewed on 2006-10-09 Stick with Brother cartridges--not the cheaper versions This ain't cheap, but it's worth it. I've learned my lesson buying cheaper toner cartridges, but they don't even come close to the quality and longevity of the Brother brand. You get what you pay for... |

Reviewed on 2006-08-21 1.4 cent cost per page not including paper and a real work horse. I have gone through two Brother HL-1250 printers that use this cartridge and it's a real work horse. I've printed as many as 900 or 1000 pages in one day and it just keeps humming along. I once tried to refill the toner myself and that was a disaster...black pages started coming out! And yes I did empty the old cartridge before refilling it. Now I just buy the toner cartages. Its nice to be able to print a big document without worrying about jams or spending a fortune...or having to load paper that often. I now use the pre-punched paper and my printing is easy and cheap! The cartridge gets about 5,000 to 6,000 pages and the drum unit gets about 25,000 pages... so cost per page not including paper is around 1.4 cents. Not too bad.
Perfect for text and internet web pages ect. Pics come out good for a monochrome but nothing fantastic. Maybe its my HL-1250? Graphic artist or people doing high end work or high volume printing may want something better... but for my 900 to 1,800 pages per month needs... its perfect. |
