| Product DescriptionMODEL- 33001 VENDOR- CAPCOM FEATURES- Dead Rising X360 Dead Rising follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to a small suburban town only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. He escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety, but it turns out to be anything but. Take the lead as Frank and engage in a struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies. With a full compliment of stores at your disposal in the mall, you will need to be creative-utilizing anything you can find to fight off the flesh-hungry mob-and search for the truth behind the horrendous epidemic. Real-time gameplay: Time marches on whether Frank is actively engaged or simply stationary. Dynamic enemies: Record numbers of zombies come in never-ending waves and react to their environment. Though they move slowly during the day, the zombies become stronger and faster at night, making it even more dangerous for players to survive. These former humans have also retained some memory of their previous lives, giving them unique behaviors and appearances. Visual clarity: Playing in native 720p resolution allows for unprecedented detail and clarity in gameplay. Weapons aplenty: The variety of stores available to you in the mall offer an endless supply of resources, including vehicles, makeshift weapons, and food. Save and learn: Encounter other survivors along the way. Helping them will give you more clues as to what has happened and what you need to do to stop it. -- SPECIFICATIONs --------------------------------------- ESRB Rating : M for Mature Genre/Category : Shooter System : Xbox 360 Number of Players : 1 On-Line Compatible: No www.capcom.com
Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-06-28 Save system kills this game before it even begins And to think this game begins with so much promise. Flying in over an infected city was great, watching people fighting off zombies, jump off of roofs rather than being eaten alive--what a beginning. Even your first encounter with the living dead in the mall is exciting and really gets you into the action of a true zombie flick. But alas, you play an hour or so into the game, saving whenever you can, only to realize that you have to go all the way back to the beginning and start all over! Huh? Who in their right mind would waste their time playing a game where most of your content isn't properly saved? It would take a long dedication of hours, which most people don't have to devote to a game unless it is really fun, just to get into the meat of the game, and by that time you've probably had to retart several times. Add this with only decent control, and a bit of a switcheroo in terms of a game that promises you to fight zombies and you end up fighting regular people instead, and it all adds up to a great big waste of money. Would someone please make a zombie game that is faithful to a Night of the Living Dead/Dawn of the Dead type scenario? No game has really come close to getting to the nitty gritty of why those movies were so great. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-26 it's good at first... as mentioned, the game gets old fast, killing zombie after zombie is repetitive after awhile and some of the "bosses" are really difficult at first and i don't understand the purpose of having bosses really since its a free roaming game - the amount of bullets i had to use to kill the guy in the supermarket was ridiculous...to see the A ending and "continue" into OT (I won't ruin it for you but I didnt know the first time and missed out on it) you must complete all the cases and make it in time for the helicopter - remember that | | Reviewed on 2008-06-03 decent This game is really fun at first, but after awhile it get a little repeditive. worth buying but I would sell it used after you are done. | | Reviewed on 2008-05-16 Awesome game! This is not like the majority of zombie games, but it is really fun and has a really good feel to it. I love just going around and beating down zombies with random objects found around the mall. It's really satisfying! Also love to just shoot their heads of from a safe location. It's great! This isn't as scary as resident evil, but that's just because there's so many all around and they are all weak and stupid, but that makes it really fun to grab power tool and rip them to pieces! | | Reviewed on 2008-05-09 This Game is Freakishly Awesome! This game's pretty awesome ~ I like the combination of free fighting plus the open options of photography and stuff for your missions. It gets kinda freaky sometimes, but nonetheless - this game is awesome, and sometimes I wish the mall in the game wasn't so big so i would know were I'm going! Too many zombies! Oh well - I highly recommend it though. Enjoy! | |
