Stick with PowerDVD
Does not work as listed. Was told it will play on non-HDCP compliant single monitor via component video. It did not. Corel had me check all settings and I even explained it is the same setup I have that makes PowerDVD work just fine with blu-ray. I even noticed annoying flicker during the welcome screen. After several emails back and forth, they finally said they will investigate and get back to me. It's been several weeks now and I don't expect an answer, nor do I expect I'll ever get a refund I requested. |  | Reviewed on 2008-07-22
Crashes all the time
I've tried several versions of this software including the newest one and it crashes often, especially if you're using the fast forward or rewind feature. Sometimes I would have to reload the program 3 or 4 times to watch the whole disc. I buy a lot of sports dvds, so sometimes you want to go to your favorite part...well good luck with this program. I kept hoping they would improve it over versions, but its been the same problem since version 6. My friend uses WinDVD too and he has the same problem. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-09
Blu-Ray Compatible!
Look, when it comes to Blu-Ray all I want is a program that is compatible. The interface is not very inspired but the basic controls are there. All of my Blu-Ray library plays w/out a hitch.
Bottom line this program works with Blu-Ray.
Important note: You MUST have a Blu-Ray DVD player to play Blu-Ray DVDs, they won't work on a standard DVD drive! | |
