ADD MULTIPLE COMPUTERS AND OTHER NETWORK DEVICES
By connecting this Desktop Switch to your router, you can add up to four
more computers to your home network. A game console, printer, print
server, Network-Attached Storage (NAS) or Internet camera can also be
added.

Good switch
I had no problems installing and using this switch. I have a wired network in my home and needed to expand ports in my living room. I had used an earlier switch from D-link in my office upstairs and it worked fine so I decided to use D-link again. I would recommend this product for wired network users. Check your current setup carefully
I'm not a teckie, so I found this out the hard way: three hours on the the phone with call centers across the world. If you don't have a router, then this product is useless. If you have a router, then you don't need this product. It is nothing but a dumb switch.
Makes me wonder what the purpose of this is.
This company uses a call center outside the US, presumably in India. I think that should be required information on all packaging these days.
