Prints to CDs, brilliant and crisp texts, great multifunction printer
I've been using this for more than three months now and it is working perfectly considering this item traveled overseas to get here.

CD/DVD printing: I have printed on dozens of CDs/DVDs. You have to use EPSON's PrintCD program (shipped with printer) and choose manual print for it to work perfectly.

Inks: yellow, light magenta, and light cyan are the fastest to run out when you often print in color and photos.

Speed: The speed is amazing for the quality it delivers.

Overall this is a great printer that will deliver light or heavy printing demands.

Ink not water resistent -- unless you use Epson Paper
This machine works great and creates beautiful photos. But an "All-In-One" machine should be able to print simple office memos, correspondence and other mainly text documents without requiring an expensive house brand paper stock. I use Xerox inject/copier paper with all of my printers, but with this Epson, the slightest moisture -- such as hands that are slightly damp after being washed and towel-dried -- cause the Epson ink to run. It's as though the ink we made from food coloring.

Buy an Epson printer for quality photo printing, but avoid it for as an all purpose home office machine -- unless you want to shell out a great deal of money for basic inkjet paper.

No FAX
I dont know when the term All-in-One dropped the FAX. In the past this would have been called a printer/Scanner. Or multi function printer. With out a fax it is not a All-in-One.

Very happy with this printer
Bought this a few months back after doing research (here and other sites). Overall it is a very nice printer. It prints excellent photos on the best settings. I only use Epson paper though, as that was one of the warnings I saw, but have no issues with that. The prints are clean and nice. The scanner is a little slow, so if that is a big deal, you might want to look elsewhere, but it works just fine for my scanning needs. At the price and the quality, its a steal. The ink is expensive (and the only reason its only 4 stars from me), but I haven't changed out cartridges yet (getting close). I don't print everyday, but I have printed about 10 or so 8.5"x11" full color, best quality photos, as well as a dozen or 4x6 and various text/image documents. My black is almost empty and the rest are pretty low, but still have not changed. I would recommend buying ink online (eBay was good for me - about 60% off), as you can find the ink much cheaper than retail. I only use Epson ink though, no replacements or stand-ins as I don't want to risk damaging the printer.

Overall, very happy with the printer. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quality photo printer.

Five Star Machine
Bought this multi machine when my old one died. It does everything it says it can do, and it does it well. And a bargain to boot! Thank you Epson, Thank you Amazon.com.
