Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2007-05-07 MUST HAVE! If you are also a huge fan of Raymond Barone you must have the series finale. Each and every character makes me feel as if I am one of them or they are my family. You can watch it over and over again and still can find something to laugh about or something that moves you.. Can't wait the next one.. | | Reviewed on 2007-03-08 Safe and Cosy Ending After 9 years of Barone mayhem the writers obviously decided on a nice safe and cosy ending to the show. It could be a trap to try and fill the last 40 minutes or so with the best of the best, so they chose a serene almost lame conclusion to the series. The obvious exception being Patty Heaton, who was allowed to shine in this series finale. Memories of a great show will not dim from this last episode, but I expected a little more than what they settled on. | | Reviewed on 2006-05-12 More Sad, Than Funny. On the whole I agree with Mr. Harris' review. Patricia Heaton had an excellent send off episode. I thought the show peaked in the sixth season. However, A part of me still thinks that had the writers incorporated more episodes with both Debrah's and Amy's parents the funny fireworks could have gone on for another season. Both sets of parents were different enough from each other and from the Barones to create plenty of humor. This last episode had far too much predictability. We all knew that an illness might occur to raise the anxiety level, and that something would go wrong in the hospital. How long could MARIE go without learning of it? If Debrah's parents had been in the hospital I am sure more laughs would have erupted. For me the SOUL of the show was the volcanic relationship between Frank and Marie. How many viewers have, or know an elderly couple who love to bicker like F&M ? This show will be missed, but this finale was missing something. | | Reviewed on 2006-03-14 great season finally but no close caption This week a good season finally although i personally did not want to see this show end. the only trouble is this was not in close caption which my mother is hard of hearing and i order the dvd for her too. i also like how the first show and last show are on the dvd together that was we can tell the differences in the characters over. the years. | | Reviewed on 2006-03-02 Great Ending to a Great Show I agree with another reviewer that I would have liked to see some 'behind the scenes' footage, but this was a great show! The cast (and crew) did a great job, and the acting was so real, you could just feel it all. If you loved this show, you'll love this DVD! | |
