Near perfect
I recently got my PS3 and due to some space issues in my room, I had to go vertical. Not wanting to put the PS3 directly on the floor I did a search on Amazon and found this and others. This particular model, like others, has a very cool blue LED that lights up the perimeter of the base giving the PS3 a very cool look, especially at night. It securely fits the PS3 and when you try to move it, the entire unit stays in one place. You just have to make sure that you put the PS3 in there correctly (It's easy) and you have nothing to worry about. Add to all of this, you can choose whether or not you want to have the light on or whether you want to plug this unit into one of the PS3's USB hubs. If you do plug it into a hub, the unit gives you two extra hubs in its back since you are taking up one of the PS3's hubs. You shouldn't have to worry about this thing using too much power because it doesn't...and again, you don't have to plug it into the PS3. Other than that, this product should be licensed by Sony because of how flush it looks with the PS3. As a person who does not like to buy 3rd party accessories, this comes HIGHLY recommended if you need to go vertical. Buy with confidence. |  | Reviewed on 2008-07-10
Perfect for Rockband! Looks good to!
The main reason why I bought this stand is because my version of the PS3 has two USB ports, but I needed three for Rockband and I didn't want it to look cluttered by just sticking an unsightly hub up to my PS3, and this was the perfect fix! It allows an additional USB port, leaving one in the front and two in the back. It's the same color as your PS3 with a illuminating blue bar near the bottom which matches perfect with my 750 GB AccomData External Harddrive which has an exact light. Alot of people my find the light annoying if you leave your PS3 on but fortunately for you people there is a button to turn the light off if you so choose. Got this product today UPS and it looks great. Does what I wanted it to do, illuminates my PS3 vertically with Blue LEDs. Powered by the PS3s USB port when turned on. I also ordered the charging glow stand for the controllers, its on the way. Thanks Amazon! | |
