Great printer for the price!
HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier (CB584A#A2L)
This is a great printer for the price! It prints quickly, even on my somewhat dated PC. It was very easy to install, and was up and running very quickly. I have used it to print in both black and white and color, as well as scan in photos. The outcome has been great on everything I have used it for. This printer can easily compete with more expensive models. I highly recommend it for home use, and am very pleased with it's performance. Do note, however, that cable cords are not included, and will need to be purchased seperately. |  | Reviewed on 2008-07-16
HP Printer F4180 is truly a bargain!

kept reinstalling, then power failure!
yuck! don't waste money on the HP Deskjet F4180. AT first, we thought the all-in-one was a great buy; scan, print and copy for less under $100. Then, problems started appearing after the honeymoon wore off.
For starters, the printer would mysteriously prompt for reinstallation! We'd wait through the several minutes of that (and if we aborted the reinstall, naturally, we'd be unable to print).
The real bloom fell off this rose when a minor paper jam caused by a piece of bent paper caused the printer to shut down with no power! I'm checking the power cord and it appears there is an electrical short somewhere along the path, either in the powercord itself, or in the mechanics.
Great timing! One of the kids has a project due, so we're off to a local copy center to print that job.
Tomorrow, I'm off to buy a reputable and reliable multi-function printer. No more HPs for this family! | | Reviewed on 2008-07-13
