Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-05-10 excelent Compaq Presario F755US 15.4" Laptop (AMD Turion 64 X 2 Dual Core TL-58 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium). Excelent and very good price
| | Reviewed on 2008-04-23 excellent computer Looked at all reviews before purchasing. For me personally, this was an excellent choice for the price. The computer boots relatively fast, works well for the 1gig memory installed. The only draw back is a lot of the installed programs on Vista are trialware. This sucks as you have to buy the key at the end of the trial which pretty much negates the savings on the PC. Will probably uninstall and install the programs from my other pc.
The W\ Less networking was also easy to set up with Vista. All in all I wa s pretty pleased with the purchase and would recommend this product for any future buyers. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-13 NOISE PROBLEM This is an OK notebook for the price, but mine developed an annoying buzzing noise after a week of light use (maybe a problem with the CPU fan). The noise now exists whenever it is turned on an is loud enough to get "shush" glances from people in the library. COMPAQ support was initially evasive and in denial, but eventually agreed to accept for repair. Otherwise, has been a good performer - I got rid of Norton and other bloatware. Excellent screen, OK battery life. Hopefully noise problem will be repaired.
| | Reviewed on 2008-04-12 Great Laptop for Price! Excellent Laptop for the price (buy it for $600), Vista runs very smooth with 2GB ram, I'm a university professor and this 15" laptop full all my expectative. Some says that battery empty quickly, but Hp put power profiles in it, for a better performance and use needs. When I check email or browse the web use the power saver profile and when I'm gaming, use the high performance profile.
PROS: 2Gb de RAM, good graphics, Light Scribe® technology
CONS: glossy screen, heavy for travelers.
| | Reviewed on 2008-04-10 Compaq Presario Okay BUT HP Customer Service TERRIBLE!!! If I had this to do over again, I would not puchase this computer. I am having a problem with the MS Word Processing program, and HP customer service reps are not trying to solve the problem. The spell check does not work on ms word. I have exchanged several emails with HP customer service, and they wanted me to unistall, reinstall, and even restore factory settings. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, but it did not fix the problem. HP customer service told me that a "case mangager" would call me as soon as possible; that was over a week ago. I am completely disgruntled with HP customer service because no one is trying to help me fix the problem. | |
