So I read the reviews before buying this and should have listened to them. First I should mention I have the Intec case for the DS system that has a hinged top and a rubberized interior and spring latch to close. It is of exceptional quality and costs about what the storage case I am reviewing cost. So naturally I thought that these cases would be of similar construction, here I was wrong. The game case is made of the cheapest plastic possible and does not close easily because the injection molding process was so poor. This makes it difficult to open and I think the hinge will wear out inside a couple months. Also, since it is not available from Amazon currently, only it's resellers, the return shipping will cost me as much as I paid for the item so I am stuck with it. |  | Reviewed on 2008-06-14
In truth, this was made for the DS, not the DS Lite
This case is mainly for the regular DS, not the DS Lite.
I have a DS Lite, so the battery is a little different than the battery for the regular DS. The DS Lite battery does fit in the case (although when I opened it for the first time, I didn't think it would). There is a raised plastic outline that is supposed to hold the battery extra securely, but since the DS Lite battery is smaller, it is just held by two clips, rather than the entire outline.
The DS Lite stylus is a little longer than the DS stylus. So, my extra DS Lite stylus DOES NOT fit. I'm sure I could trim my stylus down or get an extra regular DS stylus somewhere, but I'm not getting the DS Lite stylus in this sucker.
The box doesn't have a hinged connection. It's just one of those solid bending plastic hinges. This isn't a problem right now, but over years of use, I could see it splitting. Right now, they seem pretty strong, so I'm not anticipating them dying any time soon.
Except for the problems noted above, it's a pretty good box for the price. It holds 8 DS games, 3 GBA games, an extra DS (or DS Lite) battery, screwdriver and extra regular DS stylus. I haven't had the problems others have said about the games getting stuck or being hard to get out. They are held firmly, but not too firmly.

Stylis too big
I bought the case for my granddaughter. She is 6 yrs. I like it and she really likes it. We got out our spare stylis and tried to pop it into the stylis spot. It won't fit. This is the stylis that came with the Nintendo DS as a spare. So now we can't have a spare in this case box.
As for being hard to open and close, it was. So before I gave the case to my granddaughter I rubbed some bar soap on the two corner tabs and it opens and closes very easily. I wish this case was just a 16 game holder for the small games. That would be very nice. Overall I am happy with this. All the games will be in one place and clean. | | Reviewed on 2007-12-30
