IOGEAR's premium USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch enables two PCs and/or Macs to share one USB device or group of USB devices through a USB Hub on one-at-a-time base. The peripheral can be assigned to a computer either manually or with hot keys (plug-n-play). Unique advanced management is available through a Windows-based application (included) that can limit or extend the sharing capabilities between one, two, three or four computers.

Reviewed on 2008-06-16 Plug-N-Play Just plug it in and you can use it! Very easy on Windows XP. The only semi-negative thing is that it beeps when you turn your computer on. First time I heard it, I thought it was my motherboard telling me I had a hard drive failure.

Reviewed on 2008-06-16 So far, so good; works as it is supposed to do. The IOGEAR USB 2.0 Peripherals Sharing Switch (GUB201) has had some bad reviews like it worked for a short time and ... Well, I have been using the hub for our Epson printer, my laptop and my wife's tower system and it has always changed when toggled, and the printer works when selected. I have not tried to use it for scanning yet, but am sure it will be ok. I am pleased.

Reviewed on 2008-05-31 Plug and play I have 2 computers and one printer. I plugged the USB2.0 switch in and it worked. You can select the computer by the switch on the top or by pressing the num lock key twice. It automatically switches to the first computer that you turn on.

Reviewed on 2008-05-30 Very easy to use! Set this up for two computers to use one printer. Took less than 5 minutest to set up. Very easy to use.

Reviewed on 2008-05-22 IOGEAR USB switch I bought this to share a scanner with two computers. It works great. Only issue is that if you switch it with the scanner on then the scanner isn't recognized by the new computer. Turn off the scanner and then tourn it back on and all works fine. Since the scanner is turned off unless needed it is not usually an issue. Just flip the switch and then turn on the scanner. A very inexpensive way for two computers to have access to an expensive periferal.
