Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-03 Just Right!!! This keyboard is easy to install, has great range, and is about the smallest keyboard you are going to find. I put the numeric keypad away in a drawer because I never use it. I will warn you that the keys have a low profile and are very sensitive. This design may be problematic if you are heavy handed. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-03 Be Careful This product works OK, but you should be very careful with the USB micro receiver. I was traveling and lost mine. I contacted Kensington to find out how I might buy a replacement and was told that the USB micro receivers are not sold separately. So, because I lost a separate part that is less than an inch long I am stuck with a useless keyboard, mouse and number pad that cost in excess of $100.
I think that this shows that Kensington has little regard for its customers. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-04 Hands cramp in 15 minutes This is one of the nicest designs I've seen in a while. Split numeric keyboard for lefties, 4-way scrolling mouse is thin for traveling, nice weight and color, a few special purpose keys. Too bad I hated it.
The setup program froze during installation (Vista) and may or may not have fully installed.
The keys are very stiff. My hands started cramping within 15 minutes of use, I missed key presses regularly, and there didn't seem to be a way to customize the custom buttons (eq which CD/DVD to eject, I have 2 installed).
The mouse was not nearly as responsive as my old logitech, and skipped frequently on my old (faux wood grain, no gloss) desk. Also, like the keyboard, the mouse buttons were very stiff (and I missed the logitech center-button autoscroll for reading long documents).
All in all, a grand disappointment. I gave it a couple hours of hard use (hand cramps and all), then repacked it and returned it to the store. Sorry Kensington, try again. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-18 Extremely versatile keyboard We've been extremely happy with this keyboard after looking very long for exactly what ths product offers. It is small (without the number pad) and fits on our short pullout shelf while still leaving plenty of room for the mouse. If necessary the number pad will still fit on the left side of the keyboard or anywhere nearby. I've not mentioned the mouse as the keyboard was the main reason we got this product but it is an excellent basic mouse. All three pieces are well made. They look, feel and are substantial and well made, not flimsy like all of the other small cordless keyboards we have seen. This product has fit our needs perfectly and we highly recommend it. You can't go wrong with this one. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-10 Excellent design! Very Sleek!!! I have been looking for a keyboard that would fit on the beyboard tray of my desk and leave enough room for my mouse. After couple of years of search and trials I finally landed with the right solution!!! When I use my office notebook computer I take the micro USB receiver off my desktop and plug it into notebook's USB port. Voila! I have the ergonomy in tact!!! | |
