Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-17 Gift I purchased a C813 Kodak camera for my daughters birthday gift...She is very pleased with it.. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-15 great Camera VERY high quality pictures were made with this camera. I love it. I got mine from Wal Mart in a blue color and it's very nice. But, like all digital cameras, it DRAINS the batteries, like, within an hour. So I recommend getting rechargable batteries. It's the cheapest way to go. Also, this camera doesn't make the best videos, but it's not a video camera and at least it works. But the picture quality is AMAZING and the camera itself is very easy to use and user friendly. It's worth getting. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-15 Horrible pictures at night I only bought this camera because I was able to get it for $60. It's not even worth that much. Any picture taken in less than ideal lighting condition comes out grainy. So essentially you get an 8 megapixel picture that looks about as good as the one you get from the phone on your camera. It comes with a proprietary USB cable to connect to your computer which is stupid. Why not use the standard one that all other digital camera's use? Lastly, to get the pictures on your computer you need to load the crappy Kodak software on there. Most other camera's don't require 3rd party software to transfer the pictures to your computer. To work around this, use a media reader to read the SD card. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-12 Easy to use but not easy to get good photo The pros of this camera:
- it is very easy to use
- it has a very intuitive menu
- I love the separate flash button.
The cons are:
- the pictures are often fuzzy
- the battery wears out pretty quickly (but it only uses 2 AA so it is easy to carry around another pair)
- it takes a very very long time between the point you press the button and when the picture is actually taken. Forget getting any action shots.
- The screen is very dim. In the daytime you can not see the screen at all even when it is overcast.
I have gotten a few lovely photos out of this camera but the bad photos are much more numerous. This is really a camera for a beginner who likes doing still shots inside.
I will be buying another type of camera to replace this one. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-09 First one didn't work I had to return my original purchase for a replacement. The second worked fine. It was frustrating though because I bought it to take pictures of the birth of my first child and it worked the day before my c-section but not the day of. Sigh... I was at the hospital borrowing cameras etc. I still like the ease and clarity of this camera though compared to my old one but I just wished it worked on the most important day of my life. | |
