Reviewed on 2008-04-26 KOSS Headphones These KOSS headphones perform as advertised and then some! I can no longer hear my wife's soaps while I'm enjoying pleasant classical music and using my computer. The noise cancelling feature is great!

Reviewed on 2008-04-23 great for drummers I bought these because another reviewer said he bought them to listen to his ipod while mowing the lawn. I was looking for a closed passive reduction headphone to use when I practice on my drums. And figured if you could cut the lawn with a power mower and listen to music, then they would probably work for me. These are great! I practice for more than two hours sometimes and these are comfortable. Ears get a little sweaty, but no prob. They could even be used as ear protectors while you are playing the drums. I can hear my mp3 player fine- not as loud as the Koss Spark Plugs I regularly use with the mp3 player, but I can hear he music I am trying to play along with great, just had to change the equalizer setting on the mp3 player. They work really great with my metronome too. I think these would work great on an airplane for cutting out the engine noise, but they are not in the "portable" category, and would take up some room in your carry on bag. You can, however carefully remove the ear cups very easily from the frame without risk of breaking anything to make them more compact. These things are very well made, and look like they can handle rough use.

Reviewed on 2008-04-15 Pretty good This is pretty good for what it does, I'd probably give it more like 3.5 stars. It blocks out a decent amount of noise, although not all noise (it reduces ambient noise to more like a whisper). It's heavier than I expected, but I probably was naive about thinking it wouldn't. I use it when I go running because I live in an area with a lot of traffic noise, and the most surprising thing for me is that it quickly developed a knocking noise in one side. I assume it's probably not designed for the constant jar of jogging, and that a little piece must have gotten knocked loose. So I was disappointed by that. But for things like blocking out the noise of lawn mowers, weed eaters, airplanes, traffic, etc., it does great!

Reviewed on 2008-03-27 Nice! This is my first pair of noise reduction headphones and I have to say I'm impressed. The sound is great and I can't hear much beside the song that's playing!

Reviewed on 2008-02-05 Koss QZ-99 I am thoroughly enjoying my purchase... the passive noise cancellation is great... They are comfortable and have great sound quality... only downside for me is that they are so big, they take up a lot of space in my everyday bag...
