The LaCie Ethernet Disk has been specifically developed to provide data protection for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix-based workstations, and as such ships with three licenses of both Genie Backup Manager Pro for Windows and Intego Backup Manager Pro for Mac, which can perform scheduled file backups for workstations as well as computer recovery in the event of a major disaster. For Mac users, it's also Time Machine compatible.
