After I installed the new lamp nothing happened. Would it be another bad lamp? Or would my TV set have something else?
Recollecting: I had to order a replacement lamp after my TV set - Panasonic 60 LC13 - showed a blank screen and the `lamp light' came on.
According to the TV manual, in the case the light comes on you should replace the lamp, and if problem persists, call assistance.
Well, the authorized service technician said no lamp should have been installed but only original replacement from Panasonic.
According to their records some 3rd party lamps can even burn out some related IC in your TV...
And that was exactly what I had to have replaced besides a new original replacement lamp of course.
Well, I can't tell whether the problem with my TV had been a burn out lamp and an existing bad IC altogether.
What I can surely say is that now I have got this spare lamp, which I'll never have the nerve to try when the time comes up and my TV needs another replacement.
Would you?
