| Product DescriptionJOSE ALEJANDRO LORA SERNA: (December 2, 1952), better known by his stage name Alex Lora, is a Mexican musician and composer. He has been the frontman of the rock en espanol band El Tri for over 30 years. Mexican Alex Lora became a rock en espanol pioneer by the end of the 1960s while playing along with Charlie Hauptvogel in a band called Avengers. In 1968, these enthusiastic Latin rock musicians formed their own group, Three Souls in My Mind, playing a memorable performance at Avandaro's Festival de Rock y Ruedas, known as the Mexican Woodstock. In 1984, Charlie Hauptvogel and Alex Lora decided to go on their own. While the first one kept the group's name, the second assembled El Tri, making their debut with the release of Simplemente El Tri. OSCAR CHAVEZ was born in 1935 and spent most of his childhood and adolescent years living in what had been an aristocratic district of Mexico City. From early on, he was close to music because his father was a fine guitar player who also sang well, though never professionally. And of course, there was the cultural influence of the district where he grew up. Young Oscar tried to study music, but had to give it up because he couldn't afford it. But he always sang, even as a boy. Much of the music within his framework of family consisted of old songs and whatever happened to be in vogue in the district. Even though his focus was never popular music, Chavez was influenced by the musical art of the famous trios and of Jose Alfredo Jimenez. - Actors: Frandes Compositores
