Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-06-18 Wow.. I can't believe some of the reviews. This headset for under 20 bucks is great.
Here's a couple of points to some of the bad things I've seen here..
1. It's not small. My head is 7 1/2 hatsize and that's pretty fair size. It adjusts bigger than I need.
2. The mic does only reach your mid cheek, but that's the way you want it. The days of needing the mic to reach around in front of your mouth are over. How do you people think blue tooth phones pick up your voice from up by your ear? LoL at folks.. technology people.. keep up.
3. It is plenty sturdy. It's not made of metal though. I've had mine for 5 months or so now and it's in the same shape as I bought it and that's with me and my 2 kids using it.
4. I play Burnout Paradise every night and my setup on the Ps3 is constantly among the best sounding. Period.
5. The mic again.. it doesn't touch your cheek unless you adjust it too. It's got a flex rod and can easily be bent anyway you want it. Away from your cheek or on it. lol again at this complaint.
Overall, I'd say this headset right now is the best option for the PS3. I've tried some wireless headsets and just wasn't happy with the quality, so I bought this on to use till I found a better solution.. now though, I quit looking. I'm happy with this headset and don't see the need to look further.
Will it stand up to a temper tantrum trowing child, smashing it on the ground after getting pwn'd in MGS? Probably not. My kid broke my 250 dollar Sennheiser's when he couldn't beat "Raining Blood" on Guitar Hero/extreme. Now he's the lawnmower hero. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-13 Good but not to good. This item is not a marathon runner only after three months of use the microphone came off, this was not a problem just a frustrating reattachement. The main problem I had was that the speaker is busted, and the only way to fix the problem, that I could find without removing any thing, was to take the cord and place it on the top of my head. Its cheap and it works so its not all that bad, but you would expect problems occuring a little longer than three months. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-21 Excelente compra Compre el Playstation Logitech USB Headset para jugar Call of Duty 4 y comunicarme en linea con mi clan. Excelente compra. La recomiendo 100%. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-08 Bad deal buying a used headset product was shipped very quick, after checking the packaging everthing seemed to be in good condition. after i opened it and plugged it in for use on my ps2 i found the headset does not work properly, people can hear me talk but the wires inside must be loose because i can randomly hear people and now it seems it went out completely.. problems occured on initial use and got worse from there. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-06 Great For A Backup Headset! I purchased this headset to use as a backup when my bluetooth sets battery dies. It's easy to set up and works with minimal hassle. The mic. boom length and overall size is for someone smaller than me (12-14 year olds I guess). The only major draw back is the lack of volume controls on the headset or anywhere else for that matter. Playing R:FoM or CoD4 can be an earache inducing experience! If your Buddies mic. volume is set high and he yells you hear it! I just set the ear cup a little behind my ear and it seems to help. I would have traded the extra ear pads for a volume knob! It's a basic USB set and works well for a "Spare" set. If you have a PS3, do yourself a favor and pick up a BT headset for normal use and this USB set for "Emergency" use. | |
