Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-21 New user I have had these tools for a short time, and don't use them every day or anything, but they are a lot better than my Ryobi 18V set (duh). The batteries charge pretty quickly, and with my DIY projects, I haven't had been stopped because of dead batteries. I just ordered the circular saw for this kit, I don't know why I thought I could get by without it. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-14 Great tool set your definetly going to like this product. Its works great and gets the job done. I work in the construction industry and love this brand! it's not easy to break and works adquately. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-24 great kit have used all tools in kit and they all are great. batteries hold charge for a long time while not being used. It's nice to finally have a tool i haven't used for a while that doesn't have to be charged. | | Reviewed on 2008-05-31 Excellent product These tools are very impressive. They are much lighter and more ergonomic than the 19.2V Porter Cable tools they are replacing. The battery life is my favorite part. For the money...this is a great value. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-28 gtrtom When I got my first 9.6v Makita cordless drill, all that was offered at that time was foreward and reverse.NOW, no end to the fine new additions available.I still use my early model 9.6v (several switches later) and still love it,BUT I am considering giving it a rest.Just purchased the 407 kit and 'WOW' Nearly as surprised as I was with the 'New 9.6v' drill. The New L-ion series is not much heavier than my 9.6, BUT the diff in power----. I know you can't compare 18v to 9.6v but I have had all the ones in between.Makita, I will say it again, THANK YOU FOR A SUPER TOOL.
Oh,Yes, there is the fact that there are TWO drivers in the 407 kit, an impact drill/ driver and an impact driver. Also, a super recip.saw.IF YOU ARE EVEN THINKING about one of the other BRANDS,give yourself a sharp rap on the index finger of your right hand and forget the other BRANDS.Been there and done that. MAKITA, MAKITA, MAKITA. That's all you need to know......These are GREAT tools, and I expect them to last a long time as have all my other Makita tools. | |
