Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-05-14 Windows XP full version If you are like us we got fed up with the growing pains of Microsoft Vista. We decided it was high time to invest in a full version of Windows XP before they stopped selling them. It has proven to be a wise decision for us. Our son is back to playing all of his computer games on his new system without any glitches. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-14 Use this at work Im a controls Tech. and my company uses windows XP SP2 with it's control system plus I've used Windows since 3.1 and all I can say is XP sucks. we havent upgraded to Vista yet due to it's unreliability and bugs. With the bugs in XP it will take an SP 3 to hopefully fix it which we will never see becasue microsoft is working on VISTA problems as we speak. For a reilable system that works I can't stress this enough, use Mac Leopard or Linux. I made the switch after Vista which was the last straw for me and I will never go back. If you want you time and aggrevation saved get an OS that works, not windows. | | Reviewed on 2008-03-22 It's just windows Delivery and service from Amazon was fine, as usual.
The product is Winows, so it is buggy, flaky and horrible, as expected. Too bad I had to buy it! | | Reviewed on 2008-03-21 XP for Me is Solid and Good I have XP running on a bootcamp partition on my MacBook and it is doing just fine. I spend most of my working time in Word, hardly ever using any of the other programs in the Office suite. However, I use the Adobe products PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator a whole bunch. Other than that I play solitaire, watch videos and, of course, use both Explorer and Firefox when I go online. That's about it for me, software wise, and XP handles it all without fail, without crashing and without giving me any headaches.
And I will miss it when I upgrade to Vista, however my machine can handle the upgrade. If yours can't, then I'd recommend you stay with XP. It's solid and good. Vista may be better, but it's not worth buying a new computer over. | | Reviewed on 2008-03-03 Good Software This is great for Mac users who want to add Windows to their computers. Please note that you will also need to either download Apple's "Bootcamp" software, or purchase Parallel software (which Amazon also sells) and install it before installing the Windows XP software. It's worth the money. | |
