Features galore - for a power filter and surge protector
I have had this powercenter for about 5 days now and I very happy with it. It is large, has a very long wall cord, and plenty of plugins for power, coax, phone, and even network connections. The two sides of the power strip are separated for audio and video to minimize interference. The voltage meter (LCD display) is a confidence meter that your power supply coming into it is what it is supposed to be. Larger than what I wanted, but I also wanted the extra protection so it worked for me. Amazon's pricing was extremely competitive, as usual, and I got more features than other similarly priced protectors in my local stores. I am using it on my Samsung 46" LCD tv, Onkyo home theater system with DVD and subwoofer, and the Cable box DVR. Handles it all very well. |  | Reviewed on 2008-06-18

A must for Home Theater Enthusiasts
I've had the HTS1000 for a month or two now. I must say I wasn't expecting a distinctive change in the picture or sound quality but got this more for the surge protection, but I was pleasently surpised when I turn this unit on, and noticed a distinctive difference in the audio and picture quality on my Sony XBR4 46"; especially on non-HD channels. The picture seemed more seemless and smooth compared to not using this unit. I researched this on Amazon and also at a local Circuit City (they were selling it for $199.99 plus tax), but as always Amazon has great service and prices, so I opted to go with Amazon again for around $135.00 total. I saved close to $85.00 on a $200.00 item, when taking into account the tax! You can't beat Amazon for great prices and you can't beat this surge/power conditioner for the money either. high price but low quality
Not impressed with the quality of this product. Upon receiving it and plugging it in for the first time I noticed a section of the red LED voltage display was burnt out and would not function. I did not send it back because otherwise it still worked and would have cost me return shipping and hassle to do so. Very disappointed with the quality and quality control (or lack thereof) with these high priced monster products. Purchase at your own risk... | |
