Reviewed on 2008-07-24 Affordable IPS This is a fantastic monitor for anyone who appreciates accurate color. For serious graphics pros I would recommend getting something a bit higher end, but for the cost you can't beat this one, especially since comparable IPS monitors in this price range often do the "panel lottery" where you might or might not get the IPS panel in them. AFAIK NEC does not engage in this practice and this is a guaranteed IPS panel. I use 2 of them in a dual monitor set up for programming and some image editing. These are great for dual monitor use since they aren't widescreen, which I don't care for. I give them 4 star instead of 5 because both of the units I have suffer from significant backlight bleed around the top edges once they warm up, which could be very distracting with anything full screen using dark backgrounds or black bars.

Reviewed on 2008-01-05 Beautiful Monitor! NEC's MultiSync LCD2070NX-BK-2 is an excellent monitor. Nearly every consumer monitor that I've seen in retail stores pales in comparison. Color is excellent. Text is so good--even small fonts--that it's hard to believe it's not a CRT. The viewing angles are wide, especially the vertical. I'd recommend this monitor to anyone. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Most monitors with a screen this nice cost more than $1000!
