Product Description

The FS100 series Fast Ethernet switches bring the 100 Mbps switching technology in a compact form factor to the small office marketplace at an aggressive price. These switches segment networks for improved performance, enabling the most demanding multimedia and imaging applications. Since each port is auto-speed-sensing, individual hubs or directly attached servers can easily be upgraded from 10 to 100 Mbps. Each port can automatically negotiate the network speed and duplex mode with the remote end, taking the burden of configuration off the user. At the higher speed running in full duplex mode, each port supports up to 200 Mbps of information throughput.

Reviewed on 2006-02-17 Netgear switches rock! We now use nothing other than Netgear switches for all our small-mid sized networking requirements. They are solid reliable and work in all conditions.

Reviewed on 2005-10-16 Great Switch This is one of the better switches I have owed. The auto uplink works great. I accidently plugged in a cross over to one of my computers and it worked just fine. This is a great switch for anyone needing a small switch.

Reviewed on 2005-09-03 Power Problems The power connector on my FS108 is very sensitive - try to shift the unit or move the power cord in any way and it goes into a fit, flashing all lights and all connected devices indicate they have lost their network connection. My friend reports the same problems with his. Mine is being relegated to the spares drawer as soon as I purchase a replacement - not another Netgear. A shame, it is otherwise a nice switch.
