Reviewed on 2007-03-27 Simple tool with many uses Nicholson files are a great value and the handy file is especially useful. I tie one file to each of my tools that need constant sharpening (scythe, machete, hedge shears, weed cutter, etc.) using the handy hole drilled in the handle. That way when the tool is in the field, the means to sharpen is always right there. Also, sew a simple slip sleeve for each file out of leather or fabric, coat it with a corrosion protector...that keeps the file from rusting and transfers a little of the rust preventer to the cutting edge of the tool. CorrosionX works great.
