| Product DescriptionMODEL- RVLPRZDE VENDOR- NINTENDO FEATURES- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii The most epic Zelda ever launches with Wii! When an evil darkness enshrouds the land of Hyrule, a young farm boy named Link must awaken the hero -- and the animal -- within. When Link travels to the Twilight Realm, he transforms into a wolf and must scour the land with the help of a mysterious girl named Midna. Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows by aiming with the Wii Remote controller, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old. Arm Link The Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are used for a variety of game activities from fishing to projectile-weapon aiming. The game features incredibly precise aiming control using the Wii Remote controller. Use the controllers for sword swings, spin attacks and shield shoves. Thrilling Adventure Players ride into battle against troops of foul creatures and wield a sword and shield with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, then take on massive bosses that must be seen to be believed. Mind & Muscle Many puzzles stand between Link and the fulfillment of his quest, so players must sharpen their wits as they hunt for weapons and items. -- SPECIFICATIONs --------------------------------------- ESRB Rating : T for Teen Genre/Category : Action System : Nintendo Wii Number of Players : 1 player On-Line Compatible: Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-22 I even dream about it We were never big gamers at all. We did a few free computer games sometimes. Then last year we suddenly got a DS and a Wii. Zelda is one of my favorites on both. We usually play the same account and trade off at good trading points. I find myself jealous for the first time when I have to hand over the remote.
This is one of the best games available right now. I generally stick to puzzle games and this one is often a puzzle. You have to fight enemies every so often but I haven't found them hard to defeat. You can save your game at most points so you don't have to start over. You use pretty much every button on the remote and numchuck. It doesn't take as much energy as the sporting games though because you only have to point the remote at the tv to shoot and move the remote slightly side to side when you use the sword or use the lantern to catching things on fire.
Other cool things: There are coins and hearts hidden everywhere. You can swim. You can talk to animals and people. You get to turn into a dog and use senses that tell you where to dig. You soon get a weird little friend that helps you do even cooler things. You get to ride a horse... man... I better stop! It is all really fun. We keep ourselves under a few hours a day after everything is in its place and it still seeps into my dreams.
My only tip is to make sure you have a computer nearby to help you google and cheat a bit. I have ran all around and around certain places trying to figure out what I needed to do. I have talked to frogs and kids and people alike and couldn't figure it out without googling for the key to finishing. Who would have thought you had to send the hawk after the monkey?! Seriously?! We've played around 7hrs and have had to google it about 4 or 5 times.
Make sure you grab a chicken and fly off of some cliffs before you go! | | Reviewed on 2008-07-06 Amazon lied When you first search for this product it says the price has been reduced to 45 but when I went to checkout the price was back up to 50. Seems like shady business practices to me. Also how about some sort of accessible customer support so that I could have informed amazon without having to badmouth them. ridiculous | | Reviewed on 2008-07-02 IT'S FOR MY BOYFRIEND I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS GAME FOR MY BOYFRIEND. I THINK HE LIKES IT BECAUSE WHEN I COME HOME FROM WORK HE'S PLAYING IT EVERY SINGLE DAY.. AND I HAVE TO PRY HIS FINGERS OFF OF THE CONTROLS JUST TO GET HIM TO STOP PLAYING IT. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-30 One of the best After just finishing this game I must say it was one of the most fun I have played in a while. I have been a fan of the Zelda series since the very first one. The overall mechanics to the game are very similar to Orcarina of Time, but with much better graphics, bigger levels, and more items. The best part about the game is the outstanding level design. They are challenging, but not so much that you loose your mind. The story is OK, but how many times can you keep creating the same game? I think this game falls short compared to orcarina of time. That to me was the best Zelda game to date. But this one certainly doesn't disappoint! This will be one of the greatest Wii games ever made. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-28 Eh I've heard a lot about this game and how great it is from my classmates. But...I found it kinda boring. At first it was exciting. Running around with a sword, shield, cool monsters, and fun puzzles that required logic. But after the first temple, it got very repetitive. The same old monsters showed up over and over (these goblin like things), the temples were obnoxious because they took lots of running back and forth and they weren't easy. Yeah, I like a challenge. But the temples were plain stupid. For example,I spent too much time trying to figure out how to kill these fungal like plants until I realized that I had to throw bombs at them. After all this, I found the fighting system to be annoying. While swinging the wii remote is fun and all, it sometimes doesn't register with your wii and you end up making mistakes because you're not coordinating right. Also, it should be a little more realistic. Although reality would make the game too difficult, I found many things stupid. An example is your jump attack. When Link does a jump attack he jumps into the air and hangs around there for five seconds. Lastly, the music can melt your ear drums. While the music is helpful in the beginning and adds a lot to the gameplay it repeats over and over like a broken record player. Midna's giggles are very annoying and they sound more like someone's having sex than someone letting out a gasp of surprise...
Do yourself a favor. Don't buy this game and don't waste hours trying to figure out how to move a block of stone. | |
