The Passport 8648TXE Module ports support the IEEE 802.3 1998 Clause 28 autonegotiation standard. Each port can operate in full- or half-duplex mode. When a port is connected to another device that also supports the IEEE 802.3 1998 Clause 28 autonegotiation standard, the two devices negotiate the highest possible data rate and the duplex mode of operation.
