frustrated
I read many positive reviews on this before purchasing it. All promised that out of the box it was an easy run and that they had music files in minutes.
Well, two computer set ups, downloading extra software, blogging, swearing , turntable adjustment, still left me w/no success.
The customer support that Numark offers is only available during business hours. Sooo, unless I want to take a day off to sit in front of my computer and ttusb while on the phone w/ tech support,....well that's not gonna happen.
I shipped the sucker back after wrestling w/it for several weeks. I'm not a whiz, but I'm not willing to work this hard w/out tech support by my side to translate a ton of vinyl to current usable formats.
Disgusted, angry and frustrated. I had to give the critter a star to get this review published, but it's not even worth the star.

Numark TTUSB Turntable
The Numark turn table is the best investment I've made in a long time. The only thing I didn't like about it, no dust cover. The recordings are very clear and with the software I cleaned up most of the scratch pops an all the recordings. I was recording within 30 minutes of installing it on my computer. Very good product
Thankfully I ignored a lot of the other review complaints. In my case every one of them turned out to be "didnt read the manual" or "didnt follow the instructions". It is an excellent product for its intended purpose which is to plug into your computer and burn vinyls direct to CD. Extremely simple to set up, 20 minutes for me, just follow the instructions provided which were unusually clear. It also does have very good fidelity, it does not compete with $3000+ turntables but does a good job considering its price catagory. The software supplied also similarly was very simple to set up as long as one takes the time to read the instructions. I absolutely would recommend this product to anyone. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-05

Numark-Spin-It Again combination
This is the second one of these players that I have purchased. My husband and I now each have one to work on copying our collection of records, tapes and 8-tracks. I did not find the Audacity software that came with the Numark to be very user friendly at least at my level of expertise so I purchased the Acoustics Spin-It Again program which I find much easier to use. I have been very please with the Numark - Spin It Again combination and have copied over 100 LPs fo far with this system. | |
