Product works great, Documentation sucks
The product arrived on time and in good condition. Getting it totally functional was another thing. I.E. You need to load additional software to get it to sync with outlook. The doc that comes with it doesn't cover much and you need to hit the web page and hunt for info, that I did not find easily. Even opening the hardcover was problematic - I almost broke it trying to figure out how to open it. ANY doc with simple instructions on how to open (pressure from the sides till it pops, then to close it slide it together), not just close it would help.
Overall I am pleased with the product although not pleased with the documentation on setting it up and getting it totally functional.

Buy with great caution!
When I purchased my Palm TX, I read a few negitive reviews but paid little attention because of former good experience with the Ziar. Near the end of my 90 day warranty, the light went out. After several days working with customer support, the device was fixed. However, when it came back, the button for the calendar brought up the address book and vis versa. It worked fine for another several months. However, I have not had it a year yet and once agian the light went out. Now it is no longer covered and I am out the cost of the device and the hard case that isn't any good with out the device. I would not buy another Palm. If you do, you really should consider paying the extra money for the extended warranty. But if you are going to invest that much, you might as well buy a Blackberry or something else that is more reliabile. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-18
Good product
Palm tx very good; hopefully it will last longer than the several Tungsten 2E's that I have owned. Hardcase for the Tx does not fit tightly around pda. PDA bangs around in it when carried in pocket. I just bought the Rhinoskin case;lined, tight, useful plug-in cut outs. Better than Palm's hardcase. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-17
Palm TX is great Hardcase will not close
Palm TX is great for the programs I need in my MSN program.
The only issue I have is that the Hardcase is cheap plastic and will not close. It's also cumbersome because to turn on the Palm you have to flip the palm out of the back of the hardcase - I would recommend a soft case or an upgrade from this hardcase | | Reviewed on 2008-07-14
Palm TX Handheld w/hard case
I purchased this for my daughter who is in Nursing School and she don't know how she lived without it for so long. And the fact that it comes with the hard case helps keep it protected. | |
