Reviewed on 2008-05-10 Suspenseful thriller marred by weak opening 15 min. You're basically on the edge of your seat once the villain reveals himself so, but I considered stopping the DVD to watch something else up to that point. I thought it was going to be a bad movie with a creepy guy and that's about it, but it turned out quite better. It really looks like it's going to be a B-movie when early in film, there are 2 guys loading a large, heavy crate into a pickup truck: they don't get it in quite enough, and when the tailgate shuts it jolts the crate, as if it was styrofoam and not a heavy crate full of fish and ice. Then for awhile there's nothing very interesting, just a guy who you already know is going to be the bad guy acting nice and flirting with the girl. But like I said, it suddenly becomes an interesting movie with a reasonably complex plot. Rachel McAdams does a good job with her role, and she is pleasant to look at. Brian Cox has a smaller role as her father; he's been in many films including Braveheart, Rob Roy and The Bourne Identity. This is a movie worth checking out.

Reviewed on 2008-03-27 not good i didn't find this movie so much scary or suspenceful as disturbing. you know that sick feeling you get when a character is raped? it is like that for an hour of the movie. the plot is pretty weak as well.

Reviewed on 2007-12-16 GREAT MOVIE... Really enjoyed this movie. Rachel Mcadams totally kicks, well you know, in this movie. I'm a huge fan of hers and she did a superb job in this intense drama. Highly recommend it to anyone!
