Reviewed on 2008-07-25 Preliminary I've only had the lens for a few weeks and used it for several dozen shots, but the first impressions are good - sharp and responsive lens, if somewhat on the heavy side, but that was a given even before the lens was purchased. |

Reviewed on 2008-07-17 Worth the expense I'm still a novice photographer but I wanted a lens that could offer close-up and distance mobility and this one fills the bill. I've paired it to my new Pentax K200D and so far it's worked very well. And I don't have to lug several lenses around on hiking trips, which is a big plus. |

Reviewed on 2008-07-13 Super Lens Lens so far works perfectly with my Pentex K20D. At this time it is the only lens I am using and still getting aquainted with all the camera's features. |

Reviewed on 2008-07-12 The one lens for my DSLR I bought this lens with a Pentax k20d and I have to say that although not perfect, the very minor problems there are don't bother me in the least. Some very slight purple edges show up, but only if the lens is fully zoomed in or fully zoomed out. And I only see them if I digitally zoom in so far that I can't make out what the picture is anymore. The autofocus seems a tad slow, but not enough to bother me.
But being able to get the wide shot and a second later zoom in great. For how versatile this lens is, how good the images it takes are, and its cost you just can't go wrong with this lens. |

Reviewed on 2008-06-13 Must Have Walk-Around Lens We've had this lens for a few weeks now and it cannot be beat for it's all-around versatility! Produces sharp shots and surprisingly good macro results. If you shoot mostly outdoors with ample natural light this is pretty much the lens to get if you want a quality lens with a good price to performance ratio. Tamron makes an 'identical' model, and Pentax model may even be made by Tamron but with the Pentax coatings; however, the Pentax version has thus far been the most attractively priced. |
