Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-21 very good unit if you treat it well i like this phone a lot, it is comfortable & looks cool. i chose this unit over comparable ones because it has more memory on the answering machine (30 minutes). people tell me the sound is very good. the only trouble i have had with it is when i dropped it & it landed right on it's face on a hard table, causing it to reboot & lose the call. since i had been talking awhile & the battery was low it couldn't reboot properly & had to be recharged & re-initialized before it eventually started working again properly. it was a freak accident, dropping it on the rug or the couch is no problem, but if you aren't used to these computerized phones you need to realize that you can't bang them around like an old-style phone. for that reason i would not recommend a phone like this for a child. other than that the only limitation i have come across is that i can go for about 2.5 hours on a call before the battery runs out (it beeps to tell you when it is low). i like the speaker in the handset, i can check balances & stuff away from the base station. it is on the back of the handset so you need to turn it around if you are punching in numbers, but this isn't a problem for me. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-16 Good Phone and Integrated Answering Machine Pros:
-No interference with my wireless router or anything else in the house.
-Small footprint/profile. This was much smaller than our previous Phone/Answering Machine.
-Great range and clarity.
Cons:
-Says "Wall Mountable" which is technically true, but it doesn't mount to a standard phone wall mount plate (mounting holes on the phone are horizontal rather than vertical).
After finally giving up on our previous motorola model (terrible range, clarity, battery life) this phone is great. I would have given 5 stars, but the wall mount thing was/is annoying and the 1st one I purchased was defective so it had to be returned (which Amazon handled without a hitch). I recommend. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-09 Did not work for my VOIP service. Good :
- Very nice features
- Good looking
- Good voice quality
- Very good speaker phone
Bad :
- It did not work with my VOIP service. Phone did not always ring and I was missing calls.
- Philips claims this phone can be mounted on a wall , but you can't hang it using standard phone outlet. I actually had to make one myself.
Ugly:
- After appx 3 hours using speaker phone, headset had to be recharged. Not for heavy users
- Plastic does not feel like it is durable
- Pricy - considering what's on the market - expensive
Summary:
I bought this phone for looks, and I would have keep it, if it worked with VOIP. How can anyone make a phone that does not work with VOIP ???
| | Reviewed on 2008-06-04 Getting rid of this I tried this product for several months and have been very disappointed with it. Units stop working, stop charging, and sometimes cannot pick up incoming calls. Am waiting for delivery for ATT replacement equipment to arrive so i can junk this. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-02 Poor Sound Quality... Poor Sound Quality...I exchanged it for the Philips ID 937 which is a very nice phone system. Read my review for the Philips ID 937.
