Reviewed on 2005-08-24Not worth the price While the construction is good, these banana plugs are only compression style, so you have to insert the wire from the side only and tighten the screw. The Dayton Audio banana plugs from PartsExpress are cheaper, at least as good and offer both side and rear entry. These PHOENIX GOLD plugs are not good value even at $5 a pair.
Reviewed on 2005-07-28Good but not a good deal at the new price These are good quality banana plugs with side wiring compression connections. It's very doubtful that banana plugs give you a better connection than directly wiring to 5-way connectors, but they greatly ease the task of connecting speaker wires to the back of a receiver. These plugs were a great deal when they were on "closeout" for $2.20, however the company shipping them was ripping Amazon off on shipping. I order 4 pair and received 4 suitcase sized boxes. On a previous order I received three sets packed together in a single bubble envelope. In both cases the shipping price was listed at over $5 a pair although I got free supersaver shipping on them. No wonder Amazon has increased the price to over $7 a pair. No way would I pay that much for them.
The VP-324 is a non-regulated "unfiltered Signal Battery" which provides 24VDC, 0.25 Amp power supply. The output is floating with respect to ground. Short circuit protection is provided.
