Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-07 Great Headset This is a great headset. I haven't had a chance to test out the mic yet but it is insanely comfortable to wear and it sounds great. I didn't need to install any drivers, it did everything automatically. Unlike many other headsets, the comfort level remains the whole time you wear it (it won't give you a headache after a couple of hours wearing it). | | Reviewed on 2008-05-27 A GREAT headset that sounds and feels great. After using other headsets for an extended period of time, this headset not only sounds great, but feels great to wear. I use a Mac and it works flawlessly with WoW and Ventrilo and and was very simple to setup. I have also used this to setup and work within GarageBand for recording sound and PodCasts.
Simply stated, a GREAT product! | | Reviewed on 2008-05-24 This is headset is great! The GameComPro 1 is a great, mid-range cost headset for PC users seeking to get the most bang for their buck. I have tested it fully with Windows XP and Vista, with the speakers and microphones working well on both systems thanks to the built-in software. I have also confirmed that the sound works in Ubuntu Linux, and though I have not yet tested the microphone, the system was able to detect it.
The sound is excellent, and opponents on multiplayer games commented on how crisp my voice was through the microphone. The headset also works well with Skype and Ventrilo.
As for comfort, this headset does surprisingly well. Having been used to the soft comfort of the ear-enclosing headphones of the Philips SBC HP170, I was impressed that the GameComPro 1's (which do NOT enclose your ears) are able to swivel to accommodate different head shapes. The band connecting the earphones is very flexible and durable - I have ripped the headphones off of my head many times in a rush, but it has not broken or deformed at all. This flexibility allows the headset to sit on your head without pressing in on your ears, which is a problem among many other headsets.
Perhaps the most impressive feature is the ability to rotate the microphone in and out of place, and it will stay locked in any position of that rotation thanks to a high friction coefficient.
This headset is great, and well worth the mid-range cost. | | Reviewed on 2008-05-02 Works great! Have to admit that I only use this headset for World of Warcraft, both for listening and talking. Works perfectly for that purpose. Voices sound better over the headphones than my expensive speaker system and you can hear everything that people are saying in Vent. Very easy to set up and get running. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-26 Great Headset I had the previous model of this headset for several years... had no issues with it, except I kept running the cord over with the chair... one too many times it would seem. This one is under a different name and works just as good... audio is great, microphone picks up what it needs. Plugged it in and Windows knew installed the required drivers and I was up and running. | |
