Good for the price
I purchased this model several weeks back and I can say that I have been pretty pleased with the results, especially because of its price, I actually found it cheaper at a nearby retail store. I wanted a stereo unit with a built in screen to minimize any custom alteration/ modifications and I don't really care for the motorized fold out screens because I hear stories of the flip-out screen motors dying off pretty regularly.
The screen is small but it works for me. The stereo provides a clear picture with nice colors, even with action shots the picture remains nice. The only big disadvantage is that if you wanted to watch a movie with subtitles, good luck....not going to happen on that little screen.
I was amazed at how many RCA plugs are in the back of the deck. There are two RCA outputs, one RCA input, one video output, one video input, and two-wire subwoofer output...all in all 9 RCA plugs. Quite a bit of plugs that I have seen on higher end/ competition models, not really in a budget model.
Even though the unit is labeled as "din-size"...the face of the unit is bigger than a din opening. This was an issue on my Honda Civic but I had to make sure to set the metal sleeve out a bit to compensate for the oversized face.
There is an optional Ipod connector that according to the instruction manual, I can control an Ipod from the face and it can send music and video to the screen....I don't have the connector (yet!) but once I get it, I will make sure to update its functionality.
