This makes the "motion detection" feature totally worthless as the device generates its own motion. The company never responded to my request for assistance. Amazon provided a quick refund. The wireless feature worked great. I could put the camera downstairs on one side of the house and walk upstairs to the other side and get a very clear picture. The camera is definitely built only for indoor use and doesn't work effectively through a window. I tried playing back the picture through a large screen and it has very little detail unless someone is standing right in front of the camera. If you need to watch someone/something that's five or ten feet away and you can point the camera right at it, it might be effective.
