Customer ReviewsReviewed on 2008-07-20 Good as ebook reader I got this to use as an ebook reader. It will load the software for most ebook formats. Great for use on the subway.
I also use the wifi feature, and get on the internet with it also.
Good for taking meeting notes with the pen, and can attach a full sized keyboard with USB.
Just right when you need something more than a PDA, but don't need the larger screen of a laptop.
| | Reviewed on 2008-07-02 Poor Quality of Screen Screen intermittant right out of box-- twist the case a little and would come on and off-- finally started to work-- alas-- 2 weeks later completely laid down-- no screen output--( sent it back and got my money back) mighty expensive tablet to fail outof box--- look for extended warranty if you just got to have size-- p.s. the joy stick entry is useless--- if your going to type on it you need the keyboard --- you can get it and case bundled for about 75.00-- its a must. *** CHECK OUT THE SCREEN WHEN YOU FIRST GET IT-- BE SURE ITS NOT INTERMITTANT!**** | | Reviewed on 2008-04-26 Nice! First off, this computer is very slick looking, like a sports car. Second, it's great running on XP (I've heard that Vista runs meh on the device). Third, and the reason I love this device, is that it's that happy medium between PDA and full fledged computer. I loved PDAs when they came out (had 2), but they got merged with phones. I think the developers have stuck gold with UMPCs.
Pros:
Small
Long battery life (better than the SSD Asus 4g computer-which I have)
Immensely portable
2 USB ports
Good amount of RAM (good for XP, not for Vista)
On device keyboard (okay, maybe not, but it's better than nothing--you can always attach another keyboard to the thing)
Cons:
800mhz is too slow for higher end applications (then again, why would run high end stuff on this anyway?)
Some advice: If you want this, get it with XP installed. If you want Vista, wait until they come out the 2 gb model with a higher cpu speed. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-07 Q1 Utlra I purchased this for use on the road. It provides everthing I need to tell-net into everything with a 6' USB / DB9 cable. | | Reviewed on 2008-03-04 Awesome! This device is set up perfectly for every thing I need it for. Bluetooth, good wifi pickup, two usb slots, front mic with webcam etc. I hope they keep the design and just upgrade the components(aka graphic processor, ram,HDD) I suggest getting "Dragon naturally speaking" and a bluetooth headset so you don't need to type, just talk and click. | |
