Customer Reviews
Reviewed on 2008-07-26Sansa MP3 review Great for controlling features even while in your pocket, esp FM radio. Nice color display. Cool blue navigation knob. one drawback is that it doesn't recognize video files from your computer, so i am never able to use the video feature.
Reviewed on 2008-07-23As good as any Ipod This Mp3 player is the best I've owned so far, with all the features you need and at a much more reasonable price than any Ipod. My favorite part is the spinning blue wheel, which looks cool and makes song selection convenient. Although you may prefer the 4, 6 or 8 gig models for more space, this is one of the best players out there. I highly recommend it.
Reviewed on 2008-07-21DON'T UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE ON THIS UNIT I bought this product a little over a year ago. It has worked fined up until 2 days ago. The problem started when I tried to update the firmware from the internet site. After updating the firmware, the player started to do unusual things. My computer no longer regonize the player was connected, I started to get messages that stated 'BAD TRACK' on most of my songs. After formating the player I thought I was downloading songs only to find out nothing was showing one the Sandisk (Only on the computer). When trying to format again, nothing comes on the screen of the Sandisk except 'Load main image failed. Switch to Recovery mode.' I have absolutely no idea how to do that and I haven't received a reply to the email I sent to Sandisk.
I do believe upgrading the firmware on my unit is what caused all the problems with my player. I have placed an order for another and I will moniter this one to see if I start having any problems that have been previously mentioned in other reviews. I'm really thinking of canceling my order and buying the new Sony unit.
Reviewed on 2008-07-21great cheap mp3 player I bought this mp3 player about 2 months ago, and so far I am very satisfied with it. The fact that its inexpensive but still has some decent features is nice. The fm receiver while simple is a very nice touch, so that i can listen to the news when jogging etc. While the capacity is small, I quickly bought an 8 gb micro sd card which instantly expanded my storage to 10 gbs, really a pretty good amount and still under 100$. Granted I have not even atempted to use the video functions on this device, and they probably could be better, but for 50 bucks this is a hell of a buy.
Reviewed on 2008-07-20Not a very sturdy unit I bought this as a gift for my wife in March of this year. It functioned well until now. The player was never banged around or exposed to excess heat, but the display sreen suddenly went wonky. It displays nothing but a frozen piece of abstract art on the screen, and nothing I have done will fix it. Now I understand why most people buy iPods; they're worth a little bit of extra money. And that is exactly what I'm going to purchase as soon as this review is finished.
