Very strong and solid
After buying my lcd I was looking for a good mount but at best buy and circuit city they were very expensive, almost 200$ ( i don't know why).I order this mount sunday and it arrives on tuesday afternoon.I opened the package and I was very satisfied after finding out the quality of the mount.Very strong and solid.They provide you almost all kind of hardware to mount this on any kind of wall.No need for any instructions if you know how to hang a picture. A Low Profile Mount of High Quality and Easy Installation
Indeed, a low profile LCD/Plasma TV mount of high quality and easy to install. Mount came with a wide variety of screws, washers and spacers to accommodate several different attachment situations. One might need a right angle coax cable coupler because the TV is just 1.5" from the wall.
The mount's frame was just wide enough for my 42" Panasonic. Check ahead if the mount would accommodate a larger set's mounting holes. | | Reviewed on 2008-07-18
Great bracket, great price!
I was a little worried that this bracket might not be that good given its price and that it's "universal," but it's actually quite excellent. It mounted to the TV with no problem, and the challenges with getting it on the wall are the same challenges that you would face with any mounting bracket: finding the position on the wall where you want the mount, finding studs (get a *good* stud finder and save your wall from suffering multiple drill holes), making sure it's level, and ensuring that it's at the right height. All the hardware is included (bolts, washers, etc.) which is awesome, and once the aforementioned items were determined it just required a ratchet to get the lag bolts into the studs (you could use a wrench, but the ratchet made it a snap). The mount is extremely solid, and I have a 50" Plasma TV mounted on it. I bought two mounts, and the second one is going to be used for my 37" LCD which is moving from my living room to my bedroom. | | Reviewed on 2008-06-02
Solid as a rock.
Just hung a 46" LCD about 2 weeks ago. No problems. Quality best describes this product. If you do not need a tilting feature, the low profile is perfect. Very close to the wall. Very good value for the money. | | Reviewed on 2008-05-15
Great Product for 52-inch TV
Like all Sanus products this is a good one. It includes lots of hardware but I have found in several cases that the TV mounting bolts are either too long or too short. However, you can always use the bolts from your TV's stand which are typically the perfect length.
Other than the bolt issue, this is a great product and holds my heavy 52-inch TV very close to the wall. Be forewarned that you will have a very tight fit for cables behind the TV so cable connection before hanging is required. You will also need very small hands or a measuring tape to slide in the safety bar.
Also note that in most home installs you do not need a mount that tilts since the viewing angle of most LCD TVs is very wide. This mount does not tilt. Check the Sanus website to check mount compatibility with your TV before you purchase.
