As a young fighter named Sei (pronounced Say), players learn the ancient ways of the Virtua Fighter masters and kick butt with over 45 combative martial arts fighting moves. These skills are uncovered in each level through mysterious data clusters, which contain incredibly powerful "Virtua Souls." While exploring and treasure-hunting, Sei soon realizes that only he can unlock the amazing Virtua Souls, which quickly draws the unwanted attention of an evil syndicate known as Judgment 6. Sei's inner strength is put to the test as he fights to escape the greedy power mongers who want to use him to bring down the infrastructure of the vast virtual world.
