Advanced Metal Evaporated (AME) tape provides the QGD170ME with approximately three times the capacity and six times the transfer rate of conventional D8 models. One reel of tape can store 20 GB of uncompressed data or 40 GB of compressed data and transfer data at rates of 3 MB per second for uncompressed data or 6 MB per second for compressed data.
