Reviewed on 2007-10-05 Garbage Got one of these as a gift. Does not recognize USB2.0 devices. Do not... repeat... DO NOT buy one of these. I so wish I had read the reviews before I got one.

Reviewed on 2007-07-24 DOA after 3 months I purchased this from CompUSA, worked fine for about 2 or 3 months. Now, Windows doesn't recognize it. Avoid this product, the other reviews are right-on.

Reviewed on 2007-05-14 Sort of worked, for a few days I got this USB 2.0 card with an iPod. I installed the card and its driver. In the beginning, it was there, but it didn't like to talk to my iPod. After a few days, it completely disappeared, in the sense that the OS didn't seem to know it was there anymore, and I couldn't get the OS to recognize devices plugged into it. So I've had to sync my iPod through USB 1.1, which takes a looooong time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. I've tried fiddling with all kinds of crap in Windoze. I've checked the physical installation of the card and even cleaned the contactsm, to no avail. The device manager seems to know the card is there, and when I plug devices into the card, they show signs of getting power, but the OS never recognizes that the devices have been plugged in. Now that I've read a bunch of reviews from other users who also had the problem of this card disappearing (and apparently the folks at StarTech even told one of them they know this 6-port card has problems), I know this was not an isolated incident, and I thought it would be worthwhile to add my voice to the chorus of complaints about this card. I will be buying a new USB 2.0 card from a different seller and manufacturer. I give this useless card one star because Amazon doesn't seem to have a way for me to give it zero.

Reviewed on 2007-02-06 Solid Product I'm running windows xp and installed the PCI card without a hitch. No problems to report. It's cheap and works fast for my Zune USB device
