Product Description

Conan is an action adventure video game featuring a story of epic brutality, sheer evil and visceral combat within an expansive fantasy setting. Players will follow the journey of Conan the Cimmerian as he fights a vicious battle against a variety of enemies and an elusive power that threatens to consume the world. Using everything at his disposal, including deadly weapons and environmental objects, Conan must fight everything in his path as he traverses a variety of unique realms within the Hyborian world.

• Deep and gratifying combat system that offers a variety of fighting styles to battle enemies. Through multiple movement trees, players can string together combos and fight foes using grappling moves, hand-to-hand combat, sword fights and dual-wielded attacks.
• Highly interactive combat locations and real-time physics will allow players to pick up any weapons in sight, such as swords, axes, spears and torches, and use surrounding environmental elements to inflict damage on enemies.
• Cinematic game play experience, complete with innovative special effects, lighting and a powerful, epic soundtrack.

Reviewed on 2008-07-02 What would you expect? I've read the less than favorable reviews for this game before purchasing it myself. It seems you will either like it or not. There isn't much in between. But, that's the way the movie was, too. You either liked it or you didn't. The game's name should give a clue. It's Conan. What would you expect? So, I purchased it used just in case the negative reviews were correct and, wow, I love this game. It does play much like God of War and it is violent. It also provides a generous amount of skin so this title earns its M rating. Don't expect this to be a thought provoking and uplifting gaming experience. It is, however, a game that is easy to just get lost in for awhile. Now for the technical: Graphics: good. Soundtrack: good. Controls: a little sluggish. Story line: ehhh, not really. But, good action. Playability: very playable and easy to learn.

Reviewed on 2008-06-30 A very enjoyable game! Conan was more fun to play than Heavenly Sword and while we all wait for GoW 3 to arrive this game certainly fills the void. A lot of different things to do without being totally random. Fun game to play, IMO, because it isn't as pretentious as a lot of other games. Yes, the storyline sucks, but damn, I can read the books and comics (which I do) in order to get my *real* Conan. All in all the game isn't the best, but still it does enough right to make it enjoyable.

Reviewed on 2008-05-31 A 'God of War' style game Hi. I bought this game just waiting for the next God of War for the PS3 and I don't regret. This game is a clone of GoW but it doesn't have the same game quality, but I recommend it to all who like this type of game anyway, and it's not expensive. Go for it ! (Adults only) Que tal. Compré este juego particularmente para entretenerme mientras sale a la venta la siguiente versión de God of War y no me arrepiento. Es muy similar al GoW pero no tiene la misma calidad de juego, aún así lo recomiendo para todos los que gustan de este tipo de juego, con la ventaja de que no es costoso. (Solo Para Adultos)

Reviewed on 2008-05-31 A Game For The Guys This is basically what you see is what you get. This is indeed a great game if you love tear your enemies arms off and chopping heads. What red blooded male doesn't like that in his video games? This game isn't for kids, it doesn't have just tons of blood but tons of naked ladies. Yes, I've never seen so much bare flesh in a video game. The story is pretty cool, but very forgettable. What keeps this game going is the awesome sword combos and blood splattered by your sword. Many times I forgot what the actually storyline was about. Didn't care. Another cool thing about this game is that Conan is played by Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman. Overall, if ya wanna get your grove on by chopping up the baddies and saving naked women, this game is made for you. If you don't like the sound of that, then you won't like this game. Simple as that
