Reviewed on 2008-06-24 Good and Bad It is nice to have a 2K game again. With the NFL license being held exclusively by the Madden people, 2K had to come up with a new idea. Instead of the familiar teams, you have familiar names. 240 former players signed on for this title to use their names and likenesses. The game places them on 3 levels, gold, silver and bronze. Your get to pick 2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze level players with the rest of the team being filled out by generic players. You can however tell the computer what kind of team you want to put out on the field--big, fast, etc. and the computer will fill in the rest of your team to suit your needs. The graphics are good and the game play is fun, save for the horrible kicking. The game however does not give you many options to work with. After playing with some of my favorite players for a week, I put the game down. I will pick it up now and again, but the thrill of playing with the football all stars has worn off. The game is cheap and certainly worth picking up for a fun game to play. It needs some work if it is going to beat Madden though.

Reviewed on 2008-01-27 Not bad for the price. I paid only $9.99 plus $3.99 shipping so this game was not so bad for the price. I just wanted a football game that I could play. This game is kinda boring though because there's no league and you just play against the other team that you pick to play against. You can pick about 11 football players to be on your team that are really good players. Like Joe Montana. After awhile this game gets boring. I just bought it and I'm already bored. It's just fun to play with when you wanna play one on one football.

Reviewed on 2008-01-18 Affordable and High Fun Factor No, you can't play with all of the current stars on their current teams, but with the way free agency is these days: no big deal. I wanted to get the most recent installment of Madden as 07 wasn't that great, but 60 bucks! No way! I picked this one up for like 11 bucks and the gameplay is great. Who wouldn't want to play with Steve Young, Roger Craig, and Jerry Rice! Feel free to spend the big bucks on Madden, but I guarantee the fun factor on this one is right up there.

Reviewed on 2007-12-28 Love This Game! I love this game! The graphics are great! Playing with the old time players who I never got to see before is so much fun! For the price, this game brings lots of fun to football!

Reviewed on 2007-12-24 A must buy This game is amazing and no one should be without it. Some people are talking about it not having a Franchise mode kills the game but This game is great even without the franchise mode. I still play this game everyday and it is fun every time I play it. I mean why wouldn't anyone buy it there are a lot of legendary players that a lot of people wanted to get a chance to pick on their team and now you can have a great team with a lot of great old school players. I wish you were allowed to do a little more customizing but I guess that is Okay the way it is. Also there should have been more alive stadiums but that is Okay also because the game is almost impeccable when it comes to authentic football also this game does have the Refs on the field unlike Madden who just have an open field without any excitement going on.
